Frequently asked

The questions a stranger asks first, answered in a couple of sentences each. This page carries FAQPage structured data so an agent reads the same answers a person does.

What does the pay-policy/1 checker refuse?

A float anywhere in a document, a figure with no currency, a spendable policy with no human gate or a gate that is not strictly below the cap, a child policy that widens its parent in any dimension, and — at evaluation — a capped period with no ledger state supplied, which returns `deny` because unknown is not zero.

Where does agentpay sit in the stack?

It is layer 8, Commerce — the "How does value move?" question. It is the rail-neutral policy layer over wallets and rails (flashyos-wdk is the reference rail); the envelope, the signer and the settlement stay there. It is not another wallet.

Is pay-policy/1 a standard yet?

No. The status is draft: no adopter yet, nothing here has settled a real payment, and the format is not published as a standard. A spec becomes a standard only after the first independent adopter is named.
